This webinar provides a comprehensive guide to the GHGA Data Access Request (DAR) process, offering practical insights into how to access and share data securely and in a compliant manner. We will break down the essential legal framework, clarifying the distinct responsibilities of key roles such as Data Controllers, Data Processors, and Data Access Committees (DACs). Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of the critical documentation required for secure exchange, including Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs). The webinar will be held by GHGA Data Protection Expert Simon Parker from the University of Heidelberg and it is aimed at everyone interested in using the GHGA Data Portal or wanting to learn more about the legal aspects of accessing sensitive data. [July 6th] Transforming Prokaryotic Taxonomy with TAXA-KG

Dear experts and beginners in taxonomy and knowledge graphs, we are really excited to see what the collaboration between two of our NFDI4Microbiota Use Cases has brought to fruition. Join us to enable microbial description at large scale! During this hands-on workshop, our speakers will introduce the background of identifying, culturing and describing novel information of prokaryotic taxa, with a focus on making taxonomic descriptions accessible for further large-scale downstream analysis. This beginner-friendly workshop will guide you through the basic concepts of taxonomic descriptions and transforming data for knowledge graph applications. During the subsequent demonstration, you will be able to apply the knowledge with some hands-on examples. After this workshop, we will have learned and transformed the way we describe novel microbial taxa. In this webinar, you can learn more about MAPtoGO, a novel Multiomics Analysis Platform designed for simultaneous Gene Ontology (GO)-based enrichment across proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, and transcriptomics. We will cover how to perform unified interpretation of diverse biomolecules to identify enriched GO terms, physicochemical categories, and disease associations in a single analysis. We implemented MAPtoGO in a lightweight web application that is openly available [https://lifs-tools.org/map-to-go] and free of charge. We will also demonstrate how the application’s integration with Goslin allows for the seamless handling of various lipid nomenclature dialects, transforming complex datasets into interpretable statistical plots and actionable biological insights.
