In this webinar, you can learn more about MAPtoGO, a novel Multiomics Analysis Platform designed for simultaneous Gene Ontology (GO)-based enrichment across proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, and transcriptomics. We will cover how to perform unified interpretation of diverse biomolecules to identify enriched GO terms, physicochemical categories, and disease associations in a single analysis. We implemented MAPtoGO in a lightweight web application that is openly available [https://lifs-tools.org/map-to-go] and free of charge. We will also demonstrate how the application’s integration with Goslin allows for the seamless handling of various lipid nomenclature dialects, transforming complex datasets into interpretable statistical plots and actionable biological insights. This webinar is aimed at students, early career researchers, clinicians, bioinformaticians, and everyone interested in mechanistic multiomics integration and advanced computational lipidomics. In this seminar series, we will explore the ethics of data derived from scientific collections, covering topics ranging from dinosaur fossils to looted artefacts, as well as threatened species and genetic resources. In the upcoming webinar from the WiNoDa Knowledge Lab<https://winoda.de/en/english/>, Dr. Anke Hoffmann<https://www.museumfuernaturkunde.berlin/en/museum/today/team/anke.hoffmann> will take you straight into the heart of small-mammal field research – where rodents and shrews become key indicators of biodiversity, habitat health, and environmental change. Dr. Hoffmann will present the research carried out by a German-Polish research team in the Lower Oder Valley National Park. You’ll learn how researchers capture and study these elusive, mostly nocturnal animals and discover the surprising variety of data they provide – from species identity and population trends to ecological relationships and habitat preferences. We’ll explore which data can be collected in the field, how they are analysed, and what they can tell us about broader ecological patterns.
