Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,
wir möchten euch gerne auf unser Online-Training "From Field Data to FAIR Data: how to manage your agrosystem research data" aufmerksam machen.
* selbst teilnehmen
* den Workshop an interessierte Kolleg*innen weiterleiten

Dear colleagues,
We would like to draw your attention to our online training session "From Field Data to FAIR Data: how to manage your agrosystem research data".
The workshop is aimed in particular at early-career researchers from all areas of agrosystem research and provides practical approaches to managing research data throughout the entire data lifecycle - from collection in the field and laboratory to FAIR publication and reuse.
In an interactive format, typical challenges from everyday research are addressed and best practices are highlighted.
The aim is to support researchers in managing their data in a structured, sustainable manner and in accordance with current standards.
We would be delighted if you could:
* take part yourself
* forward the workshop details to interested colleagues

Dear NFDI Training Community,
de.NBI & ELIXIR Germany<https://www.denbi.de/> and GHGA<http://www.ghga.de/> (The German Human Genome Phenome Archive) are inviting you to the next episode of our joint Webinar Series: Cloud-based bioimage analysis at EMBL.
This webinar explores the integration of cloud infrastructure into biological image data analysis. The session provides a comprehensive overview of modern bioimage analysis workflows, spanning from interactive, exploratory analysis to automated, large-scale batch processing pipelines.
Participants will gain insights into specific cloud-based tools and technologies designed to handle complex imaging data, along with a discussion on the practical advantages and implementation strategies for each approach.
This webinar is aimed at students, early career researchers, clinicians, bioinformaticians and everyone interested in modernizing their image data workflows to improve reproducibility and computational efficiency.
The webinar will be held by Yi Sun from EMBL Heidelberg (NFDI4BIOIMAGE).
The event is in English, it takes approx. 60 minutes and will be held on the 22nd April 2026 at 13:00 CEST (available afterwards on demand). Attendance is free, but we ask for registration<https://dkfz-de.zoom-x.de/meeting/register/QHqeTwpNRfi_a-nsHUnXaw>.

Dear colleagues,
[cid:14a0ee78-4578-403a-b92f-54cc2800140a]
Are you curious about what tiny mammals can reveal about the state of our ecosystems?
In the upcoming webinar from the WiNoDa Knowledge Lab<https://winoda.de/en/english/>, Dr. Anke Hoffmann<https://www.museumfuernaturkunde.berlin/en/museum/today/team/anke.hoffmann> will take you straight into the heart of small-mammal field research – where rodents and shrews become key indicators of biodiversity, habitat health, and environmental change.
Dr. Hoffmann will present the research carried out by a German-Polish research team in the Lower Oder Valley National Park. You’ll learn how researchers capture and study these elusive, mostly nocturnal animals and discover the surprising variety of data they provide – from species identity and population trends to ecological relationships and habitat preferences.
We’ll explore which data can be collected in the field, how they are analysed, and what they can tell us about broader ecological patterns. Whether you’re interested in species monitoring, conservation biology, data collection methods, or simply want a behind-the-scenes look at hands-on wildlife science, this session offers a clear and engaging introduction.
The webinar will take place on April 7th at 11am CET. It is free but registration is required. For more information and registration, visit our website<https://winoda.de/en/event/webinar-small-mammal-field-research/>!
On the YouTube channel of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin you can find a short video introduction to the project<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6YuGB3X3c4&t=9s>, with English subtitles available.
This session is a great introduction also for our upcoming Summer School "Ecology Field Training: Data Collection and Analysis at Lower Oder Valley"<https://winoda.de/en/event/ecology-field-training/> taking place from July 21st to July 25th, in presence at the Lower Oder Valley National Park. Registration will open soon — save the date!
We hope to see you there!
Kind regards,
Ginevra Bellini
