[Training4lifescience] Invitation to WiNoDa Data Expedition: a five-week journey of supported self-study

Dear colleague, I'm reaching out on behalf of the WiNoDa Knowledge Lab<https://winoda.de/en/english/>, a data competence center focused on scientific collections, offering free educational resources such as webinars and self-paced courses. If this sounds interesting, we would like to invite you to our latest initiative: the WiNoDa Data Expedition, a five-week journey of supported self-study. We’ll start our exploration together on October 1st, with an online kick-off session where we’ll introduce the courses, answer questions and get to know one another. From then onwards we will support your study journey in our forum and during open consultation hours. Ask questions, clarify doubts, brainstorm possible applications of what you’ve just learned, and get to learn fellow data enthusiasts! We currently offer courses on these topics: * Regulatory Frameworks for Data Acquisition in Fieldwork * Reusability and its relevance * Reusing object-related research data * Core concepts of data quality in research data management * Data Governance. Strategies for quality improvement in collection data * Basic concepts, terminology and workflow of Automatic Text Recognition (ATR) * Pre-processing and software selection for ATR * Transcription and semantic enrichment for ATR * Model Training and Publishing for ATR We’ll all meet up once more on November 5th for a joint wrap-up session where we’ll gather feedback and discuss what you’d like to see in the future from WiNoDa. To know more about the Data Expedition, please visit our website: winoda.de/en/event/winoda-data-expedition/<http://winoda.de/en/event/winoda-data-expedition/>. There is no registration deadline, you can join also after the kick-off event. We look forward to exploring the world of research data with you!
