Hello 4Culture Community,
we need your input! There are a lot of initiatives, publishers, researchers and research
projects, who are working on new ways to enhance their publications – about their
research, their data, their communities. Within the framework of NFDI4Culture - Data
publication and data availability, the working group Enhanced Publications is looking to
establish criteria for enhancing a publication.
Our aim is to make a definition and recommendations within a culture context of how to
make a publication open, and what additional functionality and enrichment can be added.
What types of requirements are made of scholarly publishing to be fully open, and how
these are implemented in systems or infrastructure?
For this purpose we are comparing and looking at a very wide spectrum of publications
reaching from conventional academic papers and monographs, to multi-modal project
outcomes, or enriched historical databases.
We prepared a small questionnaire to collect further examples for "enhanced
publications" from you and get a basic understanding of how familiar the communities
are with this concept. Please support us by taking the about 10 to 15 minutes and provide
us with your examples and answers in the survey:

Many thanks for your input,
your TA4 Enhanced Publications team
