Presentation of the NFDI4Energy Progress Report On July 7th, NFDI4Energy reached a major milestone: representatives of the consortium presented the consortium’s progress to the NFDI Expert Committee of the DFG in Bonn. They gave a 15-minute talk and contributed to the 90-minute poster session, answering a wide range of questions on community building, data, ontologies, industry connections, the vision, and governance of NFDI4Energy. Read the full report on our website! <https://nfdi4energy.uol.de/updates/presentation-of-the-nfdi4energy-progress-report/> New Federal-State Agreement on the NFDI The Joint Science Conference (GWK) has decided on a new federal-state agreement for the NFDI: the federal and state governments will continue funding the NFDI from 2029 for another ten years, with up to €98.7 million annually. We're delighted about this long-term planning security and thank everyone who advocated for the continuation of the NFDI. The Climate Policy Atlas is a wonderful example of what research data infrastructures can enable: making complex, multi-dimensional policy data accessible, interoperable, and ready for rigorous analysis. This year’s meeting focused on the network’s restructuring and the introduction of new thematic working groups that will shape future collaboration and research activities.
