Rückblick: Das war unser Kick-off
Unser Kick-off Wochenende ist vorbei, wir gehen jetzt in die Sprintphase über.
Ihr konntet nicht dabei sein? Dann taucht mit uns noch einmal in die

Nach
dem Kick off ist vor dem Finale! Die Informationen und die Zugänge zu den
Datensets auf unserer Website werden in den kommenden Tagen um die Präsentationen und Videos vom Kick-off ergänzt, sodass auch diejenigen, die nicht dabei sein konnten, sich ein Bild machen können. Gerne helfen wir dir dabei, in Kontakt mit den daten-gebenden
Institutionen oder anderen Teams zu treten - melde dich bei uns via

Die Teams legen los - so läuft es
Alle Teams haben nun knapp vier Wochen
Zeit, ihre Idee(n) umzusetzen.
Die Kommunikation läuft über Discord und die Projektfortschritte sind bei
Hackdash mitzuverfolgen.
Ihr seid schon Teil eines Teams? Bindet gern weiterhin neue Leute ins Team ein! Wenn euch explizit Leute mit bestimmten
Skills für eure Projektidee im Team fehlen, schreibt es ebenfalls gerne in den Discord-Server! Wir können euch gerne separate Discord-Channels zum Austausch einrichten und helfen euch bei aufkommenden Problemen und Fragen. Als Team
werdet ihr vielleicht ohnehin mit zusätzlichen Tools und Plattformen arbeiten, und das ist auch gut so. Aber bitte denkt daran:
Wenn ihr alle über Discord und Hackdash über euer Projekt auf dem Laufenden haltet, erhöht das die Chance, dass andere euch bei eurem Projektziel unterstützen!
Die Teams wachsen auch noch nach dem Kick-off weiter
Und damit sind wir bei einem wichtigen Thema:
Die Teilnahme am Kick-Off ist keine Voraussetzung für die Mitentwicklung an den Projekten und deren Präsentation bei der Preisverleihung - weitere Teammitglieder, Teams und Projekte sind ausdrücklich willkommen!
Wir freuen uns über weitere Coder, 3D-Modeller und Rigger.
Ihr wollt noch einsteigen? Ihr könnt ein eigenes Team gründen oder auch bei den anderen Teams noch dazustoßen. Schaut bei
Hackdash rein, was für Ideen bereits vorhanden sind, und/oder kommt auf unseren
Discord-Server. Dort könnt ihr Teams, Mentor:innen und Datengeber:innen erreichen. Oder schreibt uns als Orga-Team über die
Kontaktseite an und wir holen Euch an Bord.

Ab sofort jeden Donnerstag um 18 Uhr: Hackathon Meeting Space in Zoom
Neben der
Kommunikation via Hackdash
und Discord bieten wir ab sofort ein wöchentliches Treffen via Zoom an: den 3D Hackathon Meeting Space. Hier können sich die Teams untereinander sowie mit
neuen Interessierten, anderen Teilnehmenden und auch dem Orga-Team austauschen. Ab morgen, dem 29.09. immer donnerstags, um 18 Uhr, hier:

der
Projekte am 20. Oktober
Alle Teams reichen bitte bis spätestens

Projekt/Prototypes
ein! Wir brauchen von den Teams drei Dinge:

Den Link zum Hackdash
des
Projekts. Dieser sollte den Link zum aktuellen Projekt-Github oder sonstigen Ergebnissen
enthalten! Wo immer die Ergebnisse gespeichert werden, und wie
immer sie aussehen - alles davon muss explizit unter einer freien Lizenz gemäß der
Open Definition stehen.
·
Falls auf dem Hackdash nicht die vollen Namen aller stehen, die zum Projekt beigetragen haben, sollten sie alle bei der Einreichung noch einmal explizit genannt werden.
·
Außerdem benötigen wir die Info, wer aus den Team bei der Abschlussveranstaltung am 24.10. vor Ort sein kann, um das Ergebnis zu präsentieren, und natürlich um Applaus und Preise
in Empfang zu nehmen.

After the kick off is before the final!
The information and access to the
data sets on our website will be supplemented by the presentations and videos from the kick-off
in the upcoming days, so that those who could not be there can also get an idea. We would be happy to help you get in touch with the data-providing institutions or other teams - contact us via

The teams get started - here's how it works
All the Teams
have (almost) four weeks to implement their idea(s) with
their team. The communication is done via
Discord
and the progress of the projects can be followed at Hackdash.
You are already member of a team? Feel
free to include new people in your team! If you are missing people with certain skills for your project idea in the team, please also post it on the Discord server! We can set up separate Discord channels for you to exchange information
and help you with any problems or questions that arise. As a team, you may be working with additional tools and platforms anyway, and that's fine. But please remember:
keeping everyone informed about your project via Discord and Hackdash increases the chance that others will support you in reaching your project goal!
Teams continue to grow even after kick-off
And this brings us to an important topic:
Participation in the kick-off is not a prerequisite for co-development of the projects and their presentation at the award ceremony - additional team members, teams and projects are explicitly welcome!
We are looking forward to bring aboard more
coders, 3D modellers and riggers.

Discord, we now offer a weekly meeting via Zoom: the Hackathon Meeting Space. Here, teams can talk to each other and to interested people as well as to the organisation team. Starting

The submission of
the
project on 20th of October
All teams please submit their project/prototype no later than Thursday, 20.10. in the
evening at
https://creating-new-dimensions.org/kontakt/! We only need three things:

The link to the
hackdash of the project with the link to the current project github or other results! Wherever the results are stored, and whatever
they look like - all of it must be explicitly under a free licence according to the
Open Definition.
·
If the hackdash does not include the full names of everyone who
contributed to the project, the teams are asked to list them in their submission.
·
All teams are asked to list the team members who can be present at the closing event on 24.10. to present their result, and of course to receive applause and prizes.
The closing event on 24th of October
We are already looking forward to it:
the final with all
participants, on Monday, 24th of October, at the Museum für Naturkunde. Information
about the jury and the prizes will follow soon ;)
