Dear training4lifescience community,
de.NBI & ELIXIR Germany
and GHGA (The German Human Genome Phenome Archive) are
inviting you to the next episode of our joint Webinar Series: GHGA Data Access: A Guide to Legal Roles and Rules.
This webinar provides a comprehensive guide to the GHGA Data Access Request (DAR) process, offering practical insights into how to access and share data securely and in a compliant
manner.
We will break down the essential legal framework, clarifying the distinct responsibilities of key roles such as Data Controllers, Data Processors, and Data Access Committees (DACs).
Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of the critical documentation required for secure exchange, including Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs).
The webinar will be held by GHGA Data Protection Expert Simon Parker from the University of Heidelberg and it is aimed at everyone interested in using the GHGA Data Portal or wanting
to learn more about the legal aspects of accessing sensitive data.
The event is in English, it takes approx. 60 minutes and will be held on the 1st of July 2026 at 13:00 CEST (available afterwards
on demand).
