Dear colleagues,

we would like to share an upcoming workshop that may be of interest to researchers and data professionals working with molecular biodiversity and eDNA data.

The “mareXtreme & Beyond: Workshop on Data from eDNA Analyses” will take place November 4–5, 2026, at the University of Bremen.

The workshop combines research presentations on eDNA data collection and analysis with a session on data management and publication, covering topics such as the publication of sequences, OTU/ASV and qPCR tables and contextual data according to the FAIR principles. Colleagues from GFBio, the ASV Registry and PANGAEA will contribute to the programme.

There are still places available. Early career researchers working with eDNA data are especially encouraged to participate and can apply for a short oral presentation.
