Dear NFDI4Microbiota community,

We are pleased to announce that the NFDI4Microbiota  2026 Flex Funds Call will open today  June 16, 2025!

Our Flex Funds program supports small-scale, infrastructure-related projects that advance FAIR, open, and reproducible microbiology research. 

Eligible topics include data workflows, training, electronic lab notebooks, data curation, and community outreach. 

Projects can receive 20,000–80,000€ for a duration of 4–9 months (January–September 2026).

Applications are open to non-profit institutions in Germany and must align with the NFDI4Microbiota work program.
