Betreff: Talk: Mike Leipold – Cytometry Data Sharing & Reuse, Sept 17, 04:00 PM
Dear colleagues,
This is a friendly reminder about the upcoming talk by Mike Leipold from Stanford
University, which will take place on September 17th, 2025 at 9:00 AM.
Title: Examining Release and Reuse of Cytometry Data - A Literature-Based Analysis
From 15 Years of Mass Cytometry Research
Date: September, 17th 2025 at 04:00 pm
Online:
https://uni-ms.zoom-x.de/j/67022118320?pwd=cE6Q1Jd0R5c6D8ha608NBK06j13y0F.1
Mike Leipold will present an overview of how mass cytometry data has been released and
reused in the scientific community over the past 15 years. Based on a literature analysis
of nearly 700 publications, the talk will compare data sharing practices in CyTOF and
related imaging cytometry with those in sequencing-based assays. He will highlight
practical challenges in reusing data and reproducing results from repositories.
Since April 2022, Mike Leipold has been a Research and Development Scientist at the
Stanford University School of Medicine. As manager of the Human Immune Monitoring Center
(HIMC), he serves as the primary contact for all CyTOF-related projects. His work focuses
on developing standardized mass cytometry assays that translate conventional
fluorescence-based tests to the CyTOF platform, enabling high-dimensional immune profiling
with panels of up to 38 markers.
Best,
