Call Summary

·         Update on NFDI Symposium of the Leibnitz Association (10 min, Sebastian F.)

o    Statement of Wissenschaftsrat: “New” NFDI 2030 will be restructured to a common association without consortia (→ condensed to hubs) with planned long-term running and fixed positions.

o    Existing services shall be kept.

o    Discussion: Losing connection to community? Permanent positions would block innovation?
Shall NFDI be only data storage with good meta-data or also provide data analysis with AI?

·         Group Metadata schema: additional people welcome. (Sebastian B.)

o    First meeting with new Agenda “MVS “ next week Thursday 11 am

o    Everyone is welcome, Sebastian will circulate invitation.

·         Katherina: Berlin-Brandenburg meeting: Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, 10 am to 4 pm, Wikimedia Deutschland – Gesellschaft zur Förderung Freien Wissens e. V. (Tempelhofer Ufer 23/24,10963 Berlin)

o    do we want to contribute, e.g. recycle HMC poster? (topic: Provenance and Reproducibility

o    who wants to go? Katherina could in principle since it’s not very far and no other appointments, yet, on this day (they plan for ~50 people, https://events.hifis.net/event/3380/)

o    Katherina, Sebastian B., Daniel could be going. Daniel checks for abstract submission.

·         Sebastian F. / Vera: German Mass Cytrometry users forum (Heidelberg) present a poster.

General hints:

o    all posters shall be uploaded to Zenodo

o    all presentations / conference attendences should be put on the homepage (take photos!)
