Dear colleagues,
some of you most probably have heard about the upcoming 2nd NFDI Metadata Workshop in
Hanover June 25 -27. https://www.nfdi.de/2nd-nfdi-metadata-workshop/
We are currently preparing the program and as part of widening the perspective on domains
and their specific metadata activities we plan to extend the discussion on activities
towards discipline specific metadata schemas. How can we extend generic schemas (i.e. as
DCAT application profiles) and / or link generic and disciplines specific schemas. We
would like to offer existing interoperability groups (and those forming during the
workshop) the chance to open breakout sessions to discuss and share their results and
challenges with other neighboring consortia.
I hope this format is attractive for your group and some of you join us in Hannover.

Dear all,
thank you very much for voting.
The result clearly says, that Q4 of 2025 is the favoured time for the meeting.
As the regular BioMed Meeting will be in this timeframe as well, it would make sense
to have our Meeting shortly before or after, at the same location.
This will not only have the general topic discussion in close proximity,
but will also reduce our travel time. So it has clear advantages.
In our next meeting on the 7th of May, we will have an idea finding session
Where we will align our expectations and see the different views and aspects.
This session will require your active participation to integrate your consortias needs.
The details for the next Meetings are below and attached in the *.ics Outlook file.

I hope you're doing fine.
Trying to organise the in-person meeting in Leipzig, I identified
three dates for a two-days Workshop before summer holidays.

Identify which date is most suitable:

which will then be at earliest in October.

We can discuss at our next regular meeting on the 07th of May the result of the poll
