Die neue NFDI4Immuno-Website ist online!
Das Team von NFDI4Immuno freut sich, den Start seiner neuen Webseite bekannt zu geben.
Besucher haben die Möglichkeit das zukünftige Datenportal zu erkunden, Analysetools für B-Zell- und T-Zell-Rezeptor-Repertoire-Sequenzierungs-Daten zu nutzen und mehr über das Team sowie dessen Aktivitäten erfahren.
Berlin wird dritter operativer GHGA-Datenknoten
Der Berliner Datenknoten, betrieben vom MDC und dem BIH an der Charité, ist nach der erfolgreichen
ersten Dateneinreichung in Betrieb. Damit hostet GHGA Datensätze an drei Standorten. Alle Daten sind über das GHGA-Datenportal zugänglich.

Berlin becomes third operational GHGA Data Hub
The Berlin Data Hub, jointly run by the MDC and the BIH at Charité, is operational after completing
its first data submission. GHGA datasets are now hosted across three locations in Germany, all accessible via the GHGA Data Portal.

KonsortSWD: Wählerverzeichnis für die Wahl des RatSWD geöffnet
Das Wählerverzeichnis für die Wahl der wissenschaftlichen Mitglieder des Rates für Sozial- und
Wirtschaftsdaten (RatSWD) ist geöffnet. Die
Registrierung für das Wählerverzeichnis ist bis zum 16. Februar 2026 möglich. Aktiv und passiv wahlberechtigt sind promovierte Wissenschaftler:innen, die an staatlich anerkannten Hochschulen oder in öffentlichen, unabhängigen
wissenschaftlichen Forschungsinstituten in Deutschland tätig sind. Als Teil von KonsortSWD berät der RatSWD die Politik zum Ausbau der Dateninfrastruktur und ist maßgeblich an der Verbesserung des Zugangs zu Daten für die Wissenschaft aktiv.
KonsortSWD: Voter registry for RatSWD election now open
The voter registry for the election of scientific members of the German Data Forum
(RatSWD) is now open.
Registration for the voter registry is possible until February 16, 2026. People with a doctorate who work at a university or an institution of independent scientific research in Germany are eligible to vote. As part of
KonsortSWD, the RatSWD advises policymakers on the further development of research data infrastructure and plays a key role in improving access to data for science.
Fünf neue Kooperationsprojekte in Text+ für 2026
Das NFDI-Konsortium Text+ fördert jedes Jahr Kooperationsprojekte, um die Angebote an Daten und Services kontinuierlich zu erweitern
und der wissenschaftlichen Community langfristig verfügbar zu machen. Da die erste Förderphase von Text+ Ende September 2026 ausläuft, sind auch die im kommenden Jahr geförderten Projekte auf die Laufzeit von Januar bis September 2026 befristet.

Five new cooperation projects in Text+ for 2026
The NFDI consortium Text+ funds cooperation projects each year to continuously expand its data and service offerings
and make them sustainably available to the research community. Since the first funding phase of Text+ will end in September 2026, the projects funded in 2026 will also be limited to the period from January to September 2026.
We are pleased to announce that in the 2025 call for proposals five cooperation have been awarded funding:

Ausschreibung FAIR Data Fellowships 2026 gestartet!
Die FAIR Data Fellowships von NFDI4Memory sind die kompakteste Lösung für alle, die eigene geschichtswissenschaftliche
Forschungsdaten aufbereiten möchten. Bis zu elf Fellows werden einen Monat lang remote von Expert:innen an einer der fünf teilnehmenden Einrichtungen beraten. Das Fellowship ist mit 1.500,- Euro datiert. Einreichungsfrist für die dritte Fellowshiprunde 2026
ist der 19. November 2025 und jede:r kann sich bewerben – nicht Vorwissen ist entscheidend, sondern die Motivation, eigene historische Forschungsdaten zugänglich machen zu wollen.

Call for applications for FAIR Data Fellowships 2026 now open!
The FAIR Data Fellowships from NFDI4Memory are the most compact solution for anyone
who wants to prepare their own historical research data. Up to eleven fellows will receive remote advice from experts at one of the five participating institutions for one month. The fellowship is worth €1,500. The deadline for submissions for the third fellowship
round in 2026 is 19 November 2025, and anyone can apply – it is not prior knowledge that is decisive, but the motivation to make one's own historical research data accessible. International applications in English are also welcome.

RDMO goes Culture!
Mit dem
Research Data Management Organiser (RDMO) gibt es ab sofort einen neuen nützlichen Dienst bei NFDI4Culture: eine Webanwendung zum Entwickeln
und Ausfüllen von Datenmanagementplänen (DMP) in Form von Fragenkatalogen.
Forschende und ganze Einrichtungen können mit dem

NFDI4ING-Community-Surveys 2022 bis 2024
NFDI4ING führt regelmäßig Befragungen der ingenieurwissenschaftlichen Community zum Thema Forschungsdatenmanagement
durch. Die Zusammenfassung der Ergebnisse der Community Surveys 2022–2024 zeigt, dass zentrale Aufgaben des Forschungsdatenmanagements in den Ingenieurwissenschaften inzwischen breit bekannt sind und angewendet werden. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die ausgeprägte

Results of the NFDI4ING-Community-Surveys 2022 to 2024
NFDI4ING regularly surveys the engineering research community on their research data
management (RDM) skill and habits. The summary of the community surveys 2022–2024 shows that key RDM tasks in engineering are now widely known and applied. Particularly noteworthy is the strong initiative of researchers, who acquire their RDM skills predominantly

Mini-Symposium von MaRDI bei der ÖMG-DMV Jahrestagung in Linz 2025
Das von MaRDI veranstaltete Mini-Symposium „Mathematical Research Data in the Era of Artificial
Intelligence“ war Teil der gemeinsamen Jahrestagung der Österreichischen Mathematischen Gesellschaft (ÖMG) und der Deutschen Mathematiker-Vereinigung (DMV), die vom 1. bis 5. September 2025 in Linz, Österreich, stattfand. In drei Vorträgen ging es um die Frage,
wie sich Hürden bei der maschinellen Verarbeitung mathematischer Forschungsdaten abbauen lassen, um die Verbreitung von FAIRen (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reproducible) mathematischen Forschungsdaten zu beschleunigen. Ein weiterer Vortrag behandelte
die Vermittlung von KI in der Wissenschaftskommunikation und die Rolle offener Daten dabei.

MaRDI Mini-Symposium at the ÖMG-DMV conference in Linz 2025
The mini-symposium “Mathematical Research Data in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”
organized by MaRDI was part of the joint annual meeting of the Österreichische Mathematische Gesellschaft (ÖMG) and the Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung (DMV), held in Linz, Austria, 1–5 September 2025. Three talks focused on lowering barriers to making mathematical
research data machine-processable and thus accelerating progress of making mathematical research data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reproducible) data. Another presentation centered on the communication of AI in science communication and the role
of open data in this context. More

On-site LLM Hackathon für Anwendungen in Materialwissenschaft und Chemie in Berlin
Am 11. und 12. September veranstaltete FAIRmat den On-site-Teil des
3. LLM Hackathons für Anwendungen in Materialwissenschaft
und Chemie und begrüßte Teilnehmer*innen aus ganz Deutschland im Rahmen eines globalen Events mit mehr als 1.200 Beteiligten. Zwei
Tage lang erkundeten die Teilnehmer*innen neue Wege, Entdeckungen in Materialwissenschaft und Chemie mithilfe von KI zu beschleunigen. FAIRmat wurde von drei Teams vertreten: Parse Patrol, Ragalicious und MatterMinds. Der Erfolg des Berliner Standorts wurde
im Science Magazine anerkannt, wo Zack Savitsky in seinem Artikel

On-site LLM Hackathon for Applications in Materials and Chemistry in Berlin
On September 11-12, FAIRmat hosted the on-site part of the
3rd LLM Hackathon for Applications in Materials Science and Chemistry, welcoming participants from across Germany as part of a global event with over 1,200 attendees.
For two days, participants explored new ways to accelerate discoveries in materials and chemistry with AI. FAIRmat was represented by three teams: Parse Patrol, Ragalicious, and MatterMinds. The Berlin site’s success was recognized in
Science Magazine, where Zack Savitsky reported on the hackathon in his article

KonsortSWD-Veranstaltungshinweis: Meet-the-data@Finanz- und Wirtschaftsdaten
Die Online-Veranstaltungsreihe geht in die nächste Runde. In der nächsten Staffel werden Daten aus dem Bereich Wirtschaft und Finanzen vorgestellt. Los geht es
am 16.10. mit den Ifo Mikrodaten am LMU-ifo Economics & Business Data Center (EBDC). Die Reihe findet jeden dritten Donnerstag von 13:15-14:00 Uhr digital statt. Informationen zur Anmeldung finden sich auf der

KonsortSWD event series: Meet-the-data@financial and economic data
The online event series is entering its next round. The next season will feature data from the field of economics and finance. It kicks
off on October 16 with Ifo microdata at the LMU-ifo Economics & Business Data Center (EBDC). The series takes place digitally every third Thursday from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Information on registration can be found on the
