Join Us at the 2nd NFDI4Energy Conference in Karlsruhe!
We are excited to welcome the community to the *2nd NFDI4Energy
Conference*, taking place on-site in Karlsruhe from March 25-27, 2025.
This event brings together researchers, experts, and stakeholders in the
energy domain to discuss the latest trends in research data management,
foster new collaborations, and shape a shared vision for the future.
The conference will feature engaging presentations, a poster session,
and the Market of Consortia, offering plenty of opportunities for
networking and exchanging ideas. Hosted at the KIT Campus (main
conference building: Building 20.30, Englerstraße 2), it provides a
great setting for exchange and discussions.

Call for Use Cases: Research Data Management Across Disciplines
KonsortSWD – NFDI4Society is looking for *multidisciplinary use cases to
develop sustainable solutions for challenges in research data management*!
*Why participate?*
Interdisciplinary research data often come with complex challenges -
from documentation to archiving and interoperability. The goal of the
Call for Use Cases is to develop practical, transferable solutions that
can be applied across different research areas.
*Who can participate?*
This call is aimed at researchers who document, process, publish, and
share data—especially those dealing with interdisciplinary datasets
where no established workflows or solutions exist.
As NFDI4Energy, we already have good collaborations with KonsortSWD. We
see potential for multidisciplinary use cases in the area of social
science & energy-related data, e.g., for acceptance research in the
energy transition or technical data for social science research in Smart
Grids. Therefore, we encourage all *researcher working in the area of
social science and energy research* who face research data management
challenges to apply!
*How to apply?*
Find more details about the submission process and participation
requirements on the KonsortSWD - NFDI4Society Website
<https://www.konsortswd.de/flexfunds/>.
Astrid Nieße as spokesperson of the NFDI Consortium Assembly Strategy
Committee
Astrid Nieße, spokesperson of NFDI4Energy, has been elected
*spokesperson of the strategy committee of the NFDI consortium
assembly*. In this new role, she will focus on the implementation of the
NFDI strategy adopted by the Scientific Senate. The Strategy Committee
of the Consortium Assembly will set the course for the further
development of the NFDI.
Call for Contributions: CoRDI 2025
As part of the *National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI)*, we are
pleased to share that the *2nd Conference on Research Data
Infrastructure (CoRDI)* will take place from August 26-28, 2025, at RWTH
Aachen University. This conference serves as a key platform for national
and international stakeholders to exchange ideas and advance research
data management (RDM) under this year’s theme: *“RDM in Action.”*
The Call for Contributions <https://www.nfdi.de/cordi-2025/call/> is
still open! Researchers and practitioners working on RDM solutions are
invited to submit their work by *April 17, 2025*, via EasyChair.
Contributions should highlight experiences, innovations, and best
practices in RDM and its infrastructure.
We encourage our community to participate and look forward to engaging
discussions in Aachen!
