Dear community, dear workshop participants,

Over the past few years we (NFDI4Chem, NFDI4DS, NFDI4Earth, NFDI‑MatWerk, KonsortSWD, Text+) have organized two workshops on the use of large‑language models (LLMs) in scientific publishing–first highlighting potentials and challenges, then taking a critical look at existing guidelines.

We are grateful for the lively discussions and contributions you all brought to these events. The notes and slides as well as a group photo from the most recent workshop have been compiled and are available here: https://fz-juelich.sciebo.de/s/HzAK5qmQXecEaK6 (password: llm). We apologize for the delay in getting the notes to you. If you would llike to have a text document version of any of the notes or any of the other photos, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Unfortunately, we now have had several departures from our organizing team. Nevertheless, the topic is more relevant than ever. Therefore we would like to continue the series with new faces and fresh ideas! In the future, we plan to place a stronger focus on NFDI‑related data topics and questions of research integrity.

Would you like to get involved? Do you have an idea for a thematic focus? We welcome anyone who is interested—please get in touch with us!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Nikki

on behalf of the LLM‑Publishing organizing team
