Dear all
The firewall ESET has blocked the spreadsheet with deliverables because it contains macros
(see the info at the bottom of this email).
I asked Helpdesk, and they advised me to ask the sender to turn off the macros, even
though I said I was waiting for this file, and the sender is well-known.
However, the file cannot be converted to .xlsx because macros would be disabled, and these
macros automate functions. Converting it would remove these macros and break the automated
features.
A digital signature is an option during the file creation process to verify the author and
ensure trust in the macros’ source, which (might) prevent this type of security block in
the future.
I'm studying the better approach to deal with it, but I would like to ask you all, has
anyone faced the same?
Best
Janete
