Finalised Biodata-IG Workshop Report – Authorship Check & Next Steps

Dear Biodata-IG Members, Thank you all for your constructive input! The workshop report has now been cleaned up. All feedback has been integrated, and your additions and rephrasing suggestions have been accepted: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fphOZXrhU7RjCN33O7cXbSdz4w058PllyLA1a-8… There are just two comments left that are waiting for final feedback. @Christian Schmidt – could you please take a quick look and get back to us on those? Additionally, while all other consortia have given their approval for the Zenodo publication (provided the feedback was integrated), the official approval for NFDI4Microbiota is still missing. @Konrad Förstner – could you please give us the green light on this? A couple of quick administrative updates regarding the current version of the document: * We have removed the links to internal workshop documents. * We also removed the Biodata-IG NFDI logo, as it has not yet been officially approved by the NFDI. Authorship & Action Required: For the final publication, we suggest listing the spokespersons of the consortia alongside the workshop participants as authors. I have added a table in a separate tab within the document listing everyone. Please check this table to ensure your details are correct and add or verify your ORCID if it is still missing. If we do not receive any objections regarding the authorship list or the content of the report by July 3, we will proceed with publishing it on Zenodo accordingly. Reminder: Deadline June 15 Workshop Report Feedback & Spokesperson Approval

Hi everyone, Just a quick reminder that the deadline to leave your feedback on the Biodata-IG workshop report is June 15, 2026. You can access the document here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1txxZJT-Is27G4AMNY1KEdICRnZ1yr2zlSo2goz8… As agreed during the voting at our last meeting, we are planning to publish the report on Zenodo. Action required: Please make sure to get the final confirmation for publication from the spokesperson of your consortia. Additionally, please note that since one consortium vetoed sharing the internal Google Doc links publicly, we will remove those links from the Zenodo version. Draft Report for Review: Biodata IG Workshop

Dear Biodata IG Members, It was wonderful collaborating with so many of you at our recent workshop at the Julius Kühn Institute in Berlin! We have put together a draft report summarizing our many discussions. You can find the document here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AT0IOKq_ZsI35Mg8W1iFoxaJhGMkb7H25qp-lUn… To keep things organized, the document is split into two tabs: * Tab 1: Contains the draft report itself for your review. * Tab 2: Contains a matrix to collect your consortium's feedback and approvals. In the second tab, please let us know your consortium's position on the following three points: 1. Approval of the report's content. 2. Approval to publish a finalized version of the report on Zenodo. 3. Your feedback on including view-only links to the original workshop documents within the report. Could you please provide your input by Monday, May 18th? This will give us plenty of time to prepare a revised version before our next meeting.
